Business Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong analytical mindset and passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences to join our team as a Business Analyst supporting our HCM & Payroll product. In this role, you will play a crucial role in helping our Engineering team deliver solutions that meet our clients’ needs. You will work closely with product owners, developers, support, quality assurance, and our clients to understand requirements, analyze business processes, and translate them into clear, concise, and actionable technical specifications

Must be US citizen, or have a valid work authorization. This role is mainly remote, but may require Tampa office visits.

How you’ll make an impact:

• Elicit, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements from various stakeholders, including customers, product managers, and development teams.
• Analyze complex business processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and propose innovative solutions.
• Create comprehensive and well-structured technical documentation, including user stories, use cases, process flows, and data models.
• Ensure that technical documentation is clear, concise, and easily understandable by development teams.
• Maintain and update documentation as product requirements evolve.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and quality assurance teams to ensure alignment on product vision and technical implementation.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including technical and non-technical audiences.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.
• Continuously improve processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2+ years experience as a Business Analyst in a SaaS software environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of SQL and data analysis techniques.
• A passion for understanding business needs and translating them into technical solutions.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in the HR and Payroll domain.
• Proficiency in using tools like Jira, Confluence, and other project management tools.
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
